High school often does not truly prepare students for the FCAT, PSAT, SAT, and ACT. The FCAT is required for a standard high school diploma. The SAT, and ACT are nationally recognized tests to measure college readiness and are required by most colleges for entrance.

The A+ success approach assists students who have never attempted one of the challenging exams, as well as those who wish to improve their score. We identify verbal and quantitative skill strengths or weaknesses and create an individual plan for skill and score enhancement. Our tutors utilize a strategic approach to aid mastery. In addition, SAT students are provided individualized essay writing practice. With a strong skill based approach, test strategy enhancement, and one on one tutoring, we build student success!

Florida implemented End of Course (EOC) Exams in Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology, and U. S. History, for a student to receive credit in the corresponding class. EOC results have shown significant gaps between student learning and skill mastery. Simply put, many students attend classes and pass tests but never really master material. We provide EOC review and improved skill mastery!

The ASVAB is required for induction in the armed services: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force or Coast Guard. We prepare applicants for both the reading and math sections of this test. With our A+ Approach, the goal is true mastery of both verbal and quantitative skills on the ASVAB.

The PERT is a college level assessment tool that many schools utilize to measure a student's level of mastery. PERT preparation and practice is available with intensive skill enhancement and our A+ strategic approach.

Prospective nursing students are required to pass the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills), a multiple choice test, covering English, math, science and reading. TEAS practice and prep can make all the difference in how students perform on this test.

The ISEE is utilized by private schools to determine if a prospective student meets entrance standards. This is a multiple choice test which covers basic to advanced reading, math, and writing skills. The ISEE is a timed test, which challenges many students who do not take time to prepare. Our A+ Approach provides assessment and practice for every part of the test.

We also prepare students for success on the General Educational Development (GED), and Full Sail Entrance Exams.

Study Skills: The A+ Way

Many students are challenged by organization, test prep, and study skills. At A+ Tutoring of Central Florida, we approach each student on an individual basis. At the outset, a student's needs are evaluated and a program is planned specifically to address the identified needs. Some students need more assistance with organization and preparation for tests, while other students are challenged by the actual study skills of note taking, prioritizing, outlining, and time management. The areas each student needs to master becomes the focus of his or her tutoring sessions and our patient tutors encourage every step of the way.
